Alvon Johnson

Alvon Johnson is a former vocalist with the Rock and Roll Hall of fame group "The Coasters". He was 2005 Guitar Player of the Year and a two time regional winner in the Guitar Centers "King of the Blues" national contest. He was nominated for 2014 Entertainer of the Year by the International Music and Entertainment Association and recently named the 2015 Honoree for his accomplishments in music by the Black Music Association & Academy of America.

Alvon organized an All-Star Concert for the relief efforts following the devastating earthquake in Haiti and has also lent his talents for several causes including “Songs for ShelterBox” disaster relief, “Blues in the School” for youth music programs and fundraisers for several local Veterans groups.
